Eight years after Jane Austen’s Sense and Sensibility, the adventurous Margaret Dashwood returns home to surprise her family for the holidays. The surprise is hers when she finds her former love interest, Lavinia, masquerading as the maid. Soon, jealousy, betrayal, and wild revelations threaten to upturn her plans for a lovely family visit, forcing her to decide if she's willing to embrace her true feelings to save Christmas. Writer Lilian Lamont is having a terrible time. Her boss just stole her work and is threatening to expose her biggest secret to her idol, who already thinks she's an impertinent child who doesn't take accountability for her actions. Meanwhile, her roommate, probably the love of her life, just stormed out after announcing she'd received a marriage proposal from Lily’s nemesis. And on top of all this, it’s 1895, and she has to wear a corset.
